My upcoming book, Buried Secrets, is a genealogical detective story about my uncovering secrets that my grandparents took to their graves. Begun as ordinary family history, my research morphed into a full-fledged investigation of an eighty-year-old missing persons case.
When I finally unearthed the secrets that my grandparents had so thoroughly buried, I journeyed into a world of abuse, abandonment and false identities. I discovered the true story of a woman who, after making an unfathomable choice in her youth, spent the rest of her life in a quest to recreate and redeem herself.

In The Letter that Led to a Lost Swedish Family History, the chance rescue of a 113-year-old letter opens the door to a long-ago love affair and the unveiling of a hidden past.
